Nepal's First 200 m3 MS Biogas Plant — Built in Dharan

At KK Livestock and Agriculture Research Center, Dharan, we delivered Nepal's first 200 m3 MS biogas plant with Indian technical expertise. This landmark project was set up with an investment of about NPR 5 million and remains a flagship clean-energy model.

The plant converts mixed organic waste into both cooking fuel and electricity, proving how large-scale biogas can reduce LPG dependence and strengthen local energy self-reliance.

ETP Plant Modified to Capture Methane and Fuel the Boiler

Perfect Bio-Waste upgraded an operating ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) to capture about 2,700 m3/day of methane that was previously escaping into the atmosphere and redirect it as a usable boiler fuel.

The entire retrofit was executed with live-plant coordination and heavy engineering, proving that industrial sustainability upgrades can be implemented without interrupting core production.

• Major structural modification completed without daily plant shutdown
• On-site flame test demonstrated active methane release and capture potential
• Center guide frame fabricated and integrated for reliable gas collection

The system replaces up to 2.25 kg LPG equivalent/day, works without electricity, and delivers a durable low-maintenance waste-to-energy solution with long-term operating savings.

The system includes advanced gas cleaning and slurry handling, and also converts an existing Thermax LPG boiler to run on biogas for major daily fuel savings.
